OneSeason Pulse
Link: http://www.oneseasonpulse.com
Mobile Site: http://www.oneseasonpulse.com/mobile
Launched: Oct 31, 2008
OneSeason Pulse is built off of the OneSeason.com api and is used to monitor the OneSeason market. The idea is to look at all the market SOIs (Synthetic Ownership Interests) and see if they are increasing or decreasing over a period of time. There are plenty of new and cool developments still to come (IPO alerts anyone?) but the site is very stable and development has reached a pretty formal level.

PublicPDA

Ohloh: https://www.ohloh.net/p/publicPDA
Launched: May 10, 2008
PublicPDA (Public PHP Data Abstraction) is an open-source PHP data abstraction layer for MySQL and is my first venture into being an active contributor to the open-source community. I have definitely participated in some open source projects before, but this is my first attempt at starting one from scratch. While my goal is to make this as stable and as useful as possible, I know I am not even close yet.
Premise
Every time I go to make a new database-driven website in PHP I end up having to create some sort of class or service to pull information from my MySQL tables. I've used frameworks in the past like Symfony and Zend that handle everything for you and they are fantastic. However, what if you are just doing a simple site or don't need a strict MVC layout or don't want to spend all that setup and prep time? PublicPDA provides a simple solution to easily provide an extensible data abstraction layer from your MySQL tables.
Classes
PublicPDA.class.php: Handles any CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) actions for your MySQL tables
PublicPDA_admin.class.php: Creates, Alters, and Drops your PublicPDA-formatted MySQL tables and connectivity
Please send any code submissions to publicpda@restlesssoul

Travelllama
Link: http://apps.facebook.com/travelllama
More Info: http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=4198943939
Launched: Mar 10, 2007
Travelllama is a pet project of mine through the Facebook API. It started out as a way to see who lives in and who is going to be visting cities that I am visiting. Facebook is great for keeping track of what your friends are doing (status updates) and how they are doing it (photos) but not where your friends are. If you go on vacation, enter the trip details in Travelllama and your friends will be able to know when you are out of town. As an added bonus, Travelllama will notify your friends in the city your visiting automatically. Now you don't have to worry about remembering to tell everybody that lives in Chicago that you are going to be there for St. Patrick's Day this year, Facebook and Travelllama do it for you
